The Lyriq represented Cadillac’s first step into the EV scene back in 2023, but its success has led the brand to introduce more EVs, such as the Cadillac Optiq and Vistiq. The Lyriq remains the original, and the compact SUV is built to deliver Cadillac’s features and prestige in a compact frame with plenty of space. As Cadillac continues to invest in its EV SUVs, the Lyriq is adding new trim levels. This year, the Lyriq adds a performance-oriented nameplate that will be familiar to Caddy enthusiasts: the V-Series. The New Cadillac Lyriq-V delivers shocking acceleration, summer tires, Brembo brakes, and launch control, making it one of the most fun EVs on the market today. New Cadillac Lyriqs come with your choice of three powertrains. The Luxury is the base option, featuring a single, rear-wheel-drive motor that makes 340 horsepower. That’s plenty for most people, but if you need a bit more jolt on your commute, an AWD, dual-motor setup will get you 400 horsepower instead. The Lyriq-V is the most fun to drive, though, with another dual-motor powertrain, this time tuned to deliver 615 horsepower. The V-Series isn’t all just raw horsepower, though, as the EV SUV gets a lower suspension, adaptive dampers, launch control, and Brembo brakes. This spec runs from 0 to 60 in about 3.3 seconds, which is the quickest vehicle Cadillac has ever produced. Every motor draws power from the GM Ultium EV battery, which is 102.0 kWh and gets a max range of 326 miles. The Lyriq-V has the least range, but still gets 285 miles. All models can recover 86 miles of range after 10 minutes of charging in ideal conditions.
The Lyriq is a compact SUV, but it still offers 28 cubic feet of cargo space in the rear, making it a great everyday companion if you need some extra space. Folding the rear row increases capacity to 60.8 cubic feet. This year, the Lyriq comes in the following eight trim levels:
The easiest way to break down the Lyriq’s trim levels is by powertrain. The Luxury gets the base option, the Sport the mid-level, and the Lyriq-V receives the most powerful option. While power varies across the board, every Lyriq comes generously equipped with heated seats, a panoramic glass roof, and gloss-black detailing. Of course, the more expensive trim carries some extra features, including automated reality displays and a heated rear row. The Lyriq’s most impressive interior feature is the massive touchscreen display, measuring 33.0 inches and spanning 2/3rds of the dashboard. It combines your digital gauge cluster and infotainment display, giving you a seamless driving experience. The unit runs Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and comes equipped with a Wi-Fi hotspot. Other features worth highlighting include a 19-speaker AKG stereo and a wireless phone charger. Standard driver-assistance features include automated emergency braking, lane-keeping, and more.
